Quidos Commercial Energy Assessor Training

What we are offering:

Comprehensive training to qualify as a Commercial Energy Assessor (CEA) Level 3, we will provide you with all the education, training, and materials required to gain your Diploma in Commercial Energy Assessment.

The Diploma is issued by ABBE www.abbeqa.co.uk which is one of the 3 authorised qualification awarding bodies. The Diploma is a Level 3 VRQ.

Diploma structure:

The course is intended to be run over a period of either two or four consecutive days and will incorporate a selection of practical and written activities, including slide show presentations and sample (virtual) properties that candidates can practise zoning and inputting data etc… The idea being to make the course as hands on as possible

Day 2- Building Services

Basic principles
Heating systems – heat generation and distribution
Comfort cooling systems

Basic principles
Lighting – Identifying and recording different light sources
Controls

Day 3- Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM)

Principles of energy calculation and rating
The structure of the iSBEM tool
Data assembly and zoning rules
Entering general and building fabric details
Entering the geometry of the building
Entering building services details
Generating the EPC and recommendations report

All our courses are supported by comprehensive and up to date training manuals, professionally printed and spiral bound.

Not included:

Travel or accommodation – although our facilities are very close to Bath Spa train station, and there are a large numbers of hotels and guesthouses in the city.
Additional equipment: camera, calculator, and ladder.
