The issue of climate change has emphasised the need to provide better information on building energy consumption, allowing property owners and managers the chance to achieve greater efficiencies. To this end, the provision of energy assessment information is now a legal requirement on most domestic and commercial properties when they are being let or sold. Larger public buildings (over 1000 m²) now need to place a Display Energy Certificate in a prominent location informing visitors of energy consumption data. Under the new air conditioning assessment process, all large air conditioning units will have been assessed by January 2009, with smaller units requiring assessment over the next few years.
Quidos offers a comprehensive energy assessment program covering public, commercial and domestic buildings, and air conditioning systems. We have a national database of fully qualified, Quidos accredited energy assessors, who have wealth of experience and expertise.
We operate a successful, ABBE certified DEA training centre. Our status as a CLG-approved accreditation body means we are able to offer a complete in-house package to our clients, from the initial instruction, to lodgement and issuing of certificates; helping us to ensure the quality and professionalism of our contractors.
