iSBEM training
iSBEM is a government recommended software that is presently used by Quidos and many other schemes and energy assessors to provide an analysis of a building's energy consumption and to compute a commercial Energy Performance Certificate.
About the Course
This training will be beneficial for experienced practitioners who would like to learn how to use the iSBEM software and how to lodge an EPC. This is especially useful if you are applying for accreditation via the APEL (accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning) route. On completion of this 2 day training you will receive a certificate which certifies attendance at this training.
This training may also be beneficial for qualified non domestic energy assessors who would like a refresher course on the software.
Course structure
The iSBEM training takes place over two consecutive days (9.00 - 17.00) and incorporates a selection of practical and written activities and sample (virtual) properties that candidates can practise zoning and inputting data. This makes the course as hands on as possible.
The content covered includes:
- Principles of energy calculation and rating
- The structure of the iSBEM tool
- Data assembly and zoning rules
- Entering general and building fabric details
- Entering the geometry of the building
- Entering building services details
- Generating the EPC and recommendations report
